2010 Season
The 2010 season is shaping up to be a busy one with the NHRA Unleashed Series, ORSCA, and George Howard’s Hooters Outlaw Series. With the ever increasing cost to compete competitively in the Outlaw 10.5 class with so many races on the schedule Rainwater Racing is actively seeking sponsorship for this season. We have several sponsorship packages out now seeking both product, and monetary sponsors. If you would like more information about Rainwater Racing, please contact us at ken@rainwaterracing.com.
We would also like to thank our current sponsors that have been with us for many years.

Big Win in ORSCA for Rainwater Crew - Montgomery, AL

In Saturday's first round of qualifying Ken laid down a time of 4.71. Second round the car was drifting pretty badly. He crossed the center line,
took out a cone, and finished the pass with a disqualifying 4.78. The final round of qualifying he got it together and posted a time of 4.58 qualifying
him second behind Jimmy Blackmon’s 4.57.
Sunday was an eventful day to say the least. In Ken's first round bye he broke the gear in the rear end and oiled the track from
around the 60’ timer to the finish line losing lane choice to Jack Barfield. After some thrashing to get the car fixed he met up with Jack to run a fairly clean
4.77 pass to Jack's tire spinning 5.06, but it wasn't without problems. After crossing the finish line the front steering arm broke
sending the car into violent tail whips finally coming to a rest very close to the guard rail in Jack’s lane. After thrashing some more on the car he was ready for the
third round which turned out to be a VERY close one against Gilbert “The Rock” Jacobs. Ken won with a 4.81 to Rock’s 4.82. But of course it couldn't be eventless.
This time a valve cover gasket pushed out and oiled everything under the hood. A little more work and he was ready for the final round against Bill Jewett’s
beautiful blown Mustang. Ken won with a 4.66 to Jewett’s 4.85 and believe it or not he loaded the car in the trailer with no further problems…
Whew, what a weekend!
